Visa Bulletin Updates
The July, 2009 Visa Bulletin came out on June 15, 2009. This bulletin made all EB2 immigrant visas for India and China backlogged to 2000. This was done, not because there are actually cases from this far back, but because all immigrant visas for these countries have been used for this category.
According to the DOS the projected backlog of cases will take approximately 10 years to clear for India, and perhaps 5-7 for China. There is also a possibility that the EB1 category will temporarily become unavailable in August or September of this year. However, they should be available again in October, 2009.
