Timeline Information
See the current timelines from USCIS here. However, please keep in mind a couple of things.
First, the dates given by USCIS are estimates. They mean that they are within 30 days of that date, more or less. Texas, especaiily, seems to give arbitrary dates that have nothing to do with their actual processing times. So if your application was submitted on July 30, 2007, for example, and the timeline is given as August 1, 2007, it does not mean there is a problem with your case. In fact, we cannot check on your case until the time listed on the timeline is 30 or more days AFTER the date of receipt of your application.
Second, if there is a major jump in the timelines, as has happened with the Nebraska Service Center several times, it usually means that USCIS has made a mistake. Also many cases have been transferred from Texas to Nebraska because of the backlogs at Texas, this does not mean there is any issue with your case. You can contact us to check on this, but there is not much we will be able to do until we can verify what the issue is.
