If your case is pending with immigration, go to the USCIS case status web site. Enter your receipt number and hit enter to get the case status.

If you wish to check on the status of a J-1 two year home residency waiver application filed with the Department of State, visit the U.S. Department of State Waiver Division site. Enter your case number twice, and press enter.
