USCIS has four main service Centers: California, Nebraska, Texas and
Vermont. You can tell which service center your case is currently at
by looking at the bottom of your receit. You can also tell by the case
number: If the case number starts with WAC it is at the California
Service Center; If it starts with LIN it is at the Nebraska Service
Center; If it starts with SRC it is at the Texas Service Center, and;
If it starts with EAC it is at the Vermont Service Center. All family
cases are now handled first by the National Benefits Center, then
transfered to the local office for an interview. For cases in the
local offices, please call our office for timelines.
The
timelines are listed out by the form type that was filed for your
case. For example, an extraordinary ability petiton would be listed
under I-140, sub listing, EB1 - Extraordinary ability.
