First, the dates given by USCIS are estimates.  They mean that they are within 30 days of that date.  So if your application was submitted on July 30, 2007, for example, and the timeline is given as August 1, 2007, it does not mean there is a problem with your case.  In fact, we cannot check on your case until the time listed on the timeline is 30 or more days AFTER the date of receipt of your application.

 

Second, if there is a major jump in the timelines, as has happened with the Nebraska Service Center several times, it usually means that USCIS has made a mistake.  You can contact us to check on this, but there is not much we will be able to do until we can verify what the issue is.
